Baby’s Hospital Bag | Labour & Delivery

I recently posted what I was packing in My Hospital Bag and I decided it was about time I sorted out baby’s things, they are just as important after all!

I am taking two bags, mainly because I don’t want to have to search through my bag once baby is here for her things. It’ll be much more convenient to have baby things separate. I will add that the only thing missing from the bag is water wipes as I haven’t managed to get to Boots yet to buy some, but they will be apart of our hospital things to take.

The bag I will be using is my current changing bag, I had this before Joshua was born and it has served me well. Apart from a few marks on the top, it is still in tip top condition and I use it all the time! It is the Babymoov Baby Chic Changing Bag and it retails for around £40-£45, an absolute steal!

So, what have I packed?

Essentials

Now for the cute stuff!

Clothes

  • 2x cardigans
  • 2x hats
  • 4x  tiny baby (up to 6lbs) short sleeved vests
  • 4 first size (up to 7lbs) sleepsuits

Everything else

  • Blanket
  • Car seat
As we’ve been told she could weigh around 5lb when born, we are expecting a smaller baby but not too small. I do know that these growth scans can be well off and they can get these things wrong, meaning she may well come out a decent sized baby. In the unlikely event that none of these clothes fit her and we need the teeny tiny premature clothes, we have some money set aside to buy those just means I have to send Darren out to get them!

So that’s it, very minimalistic this time. I plan to breastfeed so there will be no need for bottles, formula or soothers. Is there anything else you think I should bring?
