Ah, here we are again for another week. It’s been a particularly easy week to be quite honest. Although I now find it difficult to believe that there is only 10 weeks left until my due date (which I’m still banking on).
Heartburn hasn’t left yet, I honestly think this is it for me now. It’s here to stay for good. I don’t mind it, but it’s so difficult to sleep with a burning throat and heartburn remedies only work for so long.
On a good note, I don’t sleep too bad. I hear a lot of pregnant complain of how little sleep they get but I find it’s only Joshua keeping me awake at night, never anything pregnancy related. I feel lucky in that aspect.
One thing I have noticed this pregnancy is that my skin has been awful, I’m forever popping out in random spots. Before this, I can’t even remember the last time that I had a spot on my face! They were non-existent until now! Definitely don’t feel that pregnancy glow everyone talks about.
I’ve been keeping a close eye on movements since our 28 week growth scan and she has been moving more than ever so I’m happy knowing that she’s happy in there. I tried to catch a video on my phone but it was a bit dark and every time I pressed record she stopped moving! Cheeky pickle already!
I had my fluid level and doppler scan last week. Everything was okay, or at least they never mentioned that anything was wrong. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my placenta, so I think she is just going to be a small baby. I had to call the Day Assessment Unit this morning as I still hadn’t received a date for my other growth scan, turns out the scan department didn’t have a request form for me and I wasn’t even on their system as needing a growth scan! BUT I spoke to a midwife there and she booked me in, it would just be a bit of hassle if I was needed to be seen in Antenatal Clinic too! So I’m booked in on Thursday 23rd for our growth scan and then we will get a better idea of what is happening in there!
I’ve been thinking about my hospital bag this week and what items I’ll need for it. I normally pack very minimal, for a few hours state at the most. I know that if I do have to go in early for induction then I’ll probably need more. A friend of mine also suggested that in her hospital bags she’s always packed something as a little gift for herself. Like some luxury PJs or a scrummy new body wash and moisturiser. I like this idea so I think I may have to adopt this! I’m going to wait until I get the results of my growth scan to decide when to pack but I could be packing it soon!
We have bought a few more items off eBay, mainly some more sleepsuits. I love using eBay to buy baby clothes, you can grab some fantastic bargains. A lot of our Next sleepsuits are from eBay and they are pretty much new, you can see that they have only been worn once or twice, some you can tell haven’t even been worn! We just need a few more little bits and then we’re done for clothes, I haven’t bought any tiny baby outfits because sleepsuits are just so much easier to use and a lot more comfortable for baby. I really don’t want to be faffing with a tiny newborn to get a pair of leggings off after a poop explosion!
Keep your eyes peeled for our baby wishlist full of items we still have left to buy! In the meantime, here’s a peek of my baby bump at 30 weeks!
