28 weeks: Your baby is about the size of a large eggplant
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/4 pounds, is almost 15 inches long from head to heel, and can blink her eyes (which now sport lashes).
I’m actually in the third trimester, the final stretch to the end. This is when things start to really get uncomfortable. The backache is going to get worse, the heartburn will probably come and stay and of course the bump will increase in size!
Not much has changed this week, I guess I could say that I’ve felt a lot more tired though. With a history of low ferritin levels I’ll mention this to the midwife at my appointment. I do feel like I could sleep forever.
Baby’s movements have been so obvious this week and I can even feel little body parts if I feel around my bump. Just the other day I could feel the roundness of either her head or her bum just below my ribs, it’s such an amazing thing to feel. I can also feel a pointy body part, like a foot, hand, elbow or knee when she digs me in the side. I remember Joshua doing that a lot and it really hurt when he done it.
I have noticed that my moods are very erratic and I have very low patience. I try not to shout though because I know its just hormones raging around and I don’t want to make anyone feel like they’re in the wrong when they aren’t.
The weather has been lovely the past couple of days and I’ve realised that I cannot handle the heat already! It’s only the start of June I have the whole of the summer to spend heavily pregnant, I can’t even think about how I’m going to cope! I’m just very glad that we bought a fan last year so I can use that again.
So I think as far as updates go, that’s all there is. Oh, actually we’re pretty much done with buying clothes for her! I got some fantastic sleepsuit bundles off eBay! I am actually pretty impressed with them. One bundle had a load of sleepsuits that had never even been worn! I’m planning on making a haul video to show everyone what we’ve got. My YouTube could probably do with an update video!
So yeah, I shall leave it short this week. Next week’s post will be much more interesting because of the hospital appointment! But until then, I’ll leave you with a lovely bump shot!
