25 Week Pregnancy Update | Baby #3

25 weeks: Your baby is about the size of a rutabaga
Your baby now rivals the average rutabaga in weight – about 1 1/2 pounds – and is roughly 13 1/2 inches long from head to heel.
As much as I’d like to say “oh I can’t believe how fast it’s going” I really don’t think it is this time. Maybe that’s because I’m so nervous about having 3 children under the age of 3. Or maybe it’s because I want to enjoy my last pregnancy.
There isn’t really much to update on as not much as happened or changed. The movements/kicks are getting higher up and I’ve noticed even more patterns with her movements and I’ve noticed when she’s had her quiet days too. I’m waiting for the movements to really pick up so that I can get Keira to feel them, I think she’ll like that a lot. She loves snuggling up with my bump and giving it lots of cuddles.

We still haven’t bought anything for her yet, but I have sorted through all of Joshua’s baby clothes and pulled out all the neutral things. I probably won’t buy anything until after Joshua’s first birthday, we only really need clothes for her anyway. We have been discussing sleep arrangements since Joshua is still in our bed. We’re either opting for a very big mattress on the floor to house them all (apart from Keira as she’s quite happy sleeping in her own bed unless she’s ill) or there’s a website called BedNest that rent out bedside cribs that I think would be perfect for the baby if Joshua’s still in our bed when she’s born. We shall have to wait and see! We also need to purchase a carrier for her as we aren’t getting a double (due to me not going out much alone and we have a double we can borrow if need be), I’m torn between the Ergo and the Tula but I’m hoping to get them on loan soon to test them out.
Symptoms wise, I’m still struggling with backache but I find a lovely hot water bottle in bed helps with that loads! I think I’ll be blowing up the birthing ball soon as I know that helped with Keira and Joshua when I had backache. I’ve also had a tiny bit of heartburn, but not enough to make me guy any antacids for it. I had severe heartburn with Joshua so it’s nice to not have to experience that early on again. I’m expecting it later on though.
So I think that’s it as far as updates go! Maybe next week I’ll do another, and be on time for once! For now, here’s a bump shot!

Thank you! I think I'm done customising it, for now. 🙂
