2017: A Year in Review
I cannot believe that we are suddenly in 2018, if feels like 2017 just whizzed by! I mean, where did the time go? We done so much this year, as a family, and even though at the start of the year I threw myself into my blog, towards the end I kind of let it take a backseat.
That said, I regret nothing. I am happy where my blog is going but I am vowed to get myself back into it and really get it out there.
I really worked hard with my blog this year, I put a lot of effort into my posts and improved on my photography (although I am still no expert). My views improved, my engagement improved and my DA improved greatly! I was receiving offers for collaborations and reviews, but I think I took on too much at once and became overwhelmed. I think this is to blame for my lack of motivation towards the end of the year.
2017 was also the year I stepped away from Blogger and took myself self-hosted. It was a huge step, and a decision that took me months to make, but a decision that I have benefited greatly from.
This year, I plan to take my blog in a different direction. My main focus is currently parenting but I think I may incorporate some different posts in there too. I’m not fully decided on where I want this blog to go, but I have an idea and that’s where I’ll start.
My Most Read Post
Given that I only wrote it very recently, the post Breastfeeding Niggles: 7 Things Your Baby Does When Nursing has been my most viewed post of 2017. Maybe it was the comical side or the fact that many mothers can relate to the topics that I raised, but you guys have loved it and for that, I am extremely thankful.
BestNine Instagram Photos
I jumped on the bandwagon with this, I do every year, and it’s so nice to have a little photo of your most liked photos from the year. Although my Instagram is still growing, my most liked post received over 400 likes and that is something huge for my little following!
I know that these numbers don’t mean a thing, but I would like to thank you all for your support to help keep me doing something that I love.
So, here is to a fantastic new year and a chance to make this year greater than last!
